It’s National Medical Librarian Month!!!

Do you know a good medical librarian? Do you know a good librarian who has helped you out medically?

Well go and give them a hug!

Because while we can be a stick in the mud and make over your head references, all we want is everyone to have good health… so a tu salud!

By the way, you need to check out @detailmatters, because she’s a cool librarian (you probably already met her, just got too distracted by her 10,000 ideas a minute to hear her name) who cares about folks (and if you don’t believe me, check out this video).

  1. Wow, I absolutely love these easy to understand creative videos that have been popping up. Along with infographics, I think we have made some progress on removing the yawn factor from public health/health information.

I’ve been thinking alot about health literacy as well and how that translates into all the new technologies that have been cropping up at an alarming rate. Many people use the Internet for stuff and why not for health information? Pros and cons abound. Will be using this for that health literacy post – gracias!

    • Health Literacy is for real… as a librarian (and not just a librarian, but one who exist in the margins), I struggle with health literacy and how to deliver it. It’s complex, so ain’t no thing but to do it.

DO not tell me you gonna write something about health literacy and leave me hanging! I wanna read it.
